KCET Result 2023
Karnataka Examination Authority is all set to declare the Karnataka UG Common Entrance Test result 2023. All the students who had appeared for the KCET exam can check the result on the official website, kea.kar.nic.in or cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea. In just 21 days after the examination, the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) released the result for the Common Entrance Test (KCET) 2023 today. Over 1.53 lakh (1,53,470) students have qualified for engineering seats this year.

The candidates can check their results at the websites– kea.kar.nic.in, karresults.nic.in. As many as 1.75 lakh students appeared in the CET exams held on July 2023.

Deputy Chief Minister C N Ashwathnarayan said that the counselling process will be held online this year considering the COVID-19 pandemic situation. The seat matrix ratio will also remain the same as it was last year. “While the 45:30:25 ratio will be continued, the government’s share will be 45 per cent, COMED-K and NRI/Management quota will share 30 and 25 per cent respectively,” officials clarified.
About Karnataka Common Entrance Test
Karnataka CET is the state level entrance exam for admissions to 204 engineering and pharmacy colleges in the state of Karnataka. KCET 2023 was held as a pen and paper based exam on June in 497 centres throughout the state with COVID guidelines in place and social distancing maintained as specified. As per KEA released KCET 2023 statistics, a total of 1,75,428 candidates (90.23 per cent) appeared for Physics, 1,75,337 (90.10 per cent) wrote the chemistry paper, 79.90 per cent for Biology and 91.92 per cent for Maths respectively.
KCET Answer Key 2023
The exam was conducted from July to August 1 this year after multiple delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic. UG CET 2023 examination is conducted for admissions to various undergraduate professional courses offered by colleges in Karnataka. Earlier the KCET Provisional answer keys and candidates asked to submit objections for this year. After which final answer key will be published based on objections received and result will be declared.
How to check KCET Result 2023 Online?

- Now Click on “Submit” button.
- Please Download the result displayed online and retain a hard copy of the same required for further correspondence.
All those students who qualify the examination will receive a valid rank that will be used in the counselling process. The counselling process includes registration, document verification, filling of choices of colleges and courses, allotment, and reporting to allotted institutes.
KCET Scorecard 2023
KCET Ranking will be based on 12th marks and performance in the KCET Exam. The KCET 2023 scorecard will be valid for 1 year only. KCET 2023 candidates can check the results online on KEA Official site. KCET result 2023 is also the score /rank card that mentions the subject wise and total scores obtained by the candidates in KCET 2023 along with the state rank obtained by them.
How is KCET 2023 Merit/ Rank Calculated?
- The final answer key of KCET 2023 is used during evaluation to calculate the merit order in and prepare list of KCET 2023 Result.
- Ranks will be given to candidates as per their merit list declared by KEA.
- Separate result sheets reflecting the engineering ranks will be published as per the date announced for it.

KCET 2023 Merit List
After the results are declared, KEA will prepare a merit list of all eligible candidates. It will be released online in PDF format, candidates can check the PDF and get ready for Document verification which is the next step. Only those candidates listed in the PDF are qualified for Counselling.

Merit for Agriculturist quota Practical test of KCET 2023
- Minimum of 50% marks in Practical Examination is required to claim seat under Agriculturist Quota.
- Agriculturist Quota is applicable only for Farm Science courses, B.V.Sc and A.H.
- In the case of Agriculturist Quota, the merit list will be prepared based on 25% marks each, secured in concerned combinations in II year PUC (PCMB) & CET and 50% marks secured in the Practical Test.
- In case of B.V.Sc & AH merit will be prepared based on 50% of Marks secured in CET (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) and 50% of marks scored in the Practical test.
Inter-se Merit
When two or more candidates obtain same score/merit then the inter-se merit shall be determined to provide ranks for the candidates.
- In case of Engineering/Technology courses, the inter-se merit shall be determined with reference to the marks obtained in the Common Entrance Test in Mathematics and if it is equal, then
- The inter-se merit shall be determined on the basis of the marks obtained in in Physics and if it is equal, then
- The inter-se merit shall be determined on the basis of the marks obtained in the respective subjects in the Qualifying examination as stipulated above and if it is equal again, then
- The inter-se merit shall be determined on the basis of the age of the candidate, wherein the elder candidate will be considered before the younger.
- Provided further that where the merit of two or more candidates is same, the inter-se merit shall be determined with reference to the marks obtained in NATA, where marks obtained in NATA are equal, then
- The inter-se merit shall be determined on the basis of marks obtained in Mathematics in the qualifying examination and if it is equal, then
- The inter-se merit shall be determined on the basis of the age of the candidate, wherein the elder candidate will be considered before the younger.
Note
- If everything as specified in the provisions to sub-clauses referred to above i.e. (A) 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 are equal, then the inter-se merit will be determined by draw of lots.
- The determination of inter-se merit as detailed above for selection of Government seats will be the basis for the merit list of candidates claiming benefit of reservation under Admission Rules

How To Challenge KCET Result 2023?
- All Candidates can raise their objections to the KCET 2023 result in case of qualifying examination marks, missing rank on result, or incorrectly marked version code of question paper.
- Candidates can challenge the results within three days of declaration of results.
- To challenge the result, the authorities must be informed. Objections can be raised against any errors/discrepancies in the result.
- After the objections are validated by the officials, the final results will be released.

What are the details required to check the KCET Result?
Candidates will require the login credentials received at the time of registration for KCET to access the results.
Can a candidate apply for revaluation or re-totalling of the marks?
No. Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) will not entertain any request for revaluation or re-totalling of the marks obtained in the entrance exam. However, a candidate can raise a request for a change in the qualifying marks. They must submit objections within three days of result declaration.
When will the KCET 2023 result be released?
