Samsung has recently expanded its A-series lineup. Samsung Galaxy A-series have been the company’s most-popular series since the past few years. In fact, the ‘top-selling’ Android phones of the past three years globally have been an A-series phone. Samsung Galaxy A53 5G and Galaxy A73 5G smartphones are the new additions to the lineup. Both Samsung Galaxy A73 5G and Galaxy A53 are affordable premium smartphones from the company.
In terms of specs, Galaxy A73 5G offers relatively more powerful specs. It comes with a 108MP sensor, slightly better chipset and more.

Price and variants
Samsung Galaxy A53 5G: Rs 34,499 (6GB + 128GB), Rs 35,999 (8GB + 128GB).
Samsung Galaxy A73 5G: Rs 41,999 (8GB + 128GB), Rs 44,999 (8GB + 256GB)
In terms of design, both Galaxy A53 5G and Galaxy A73 5G carry a similar design. The only noticeable difference between the two is the size as the latter features a bigger display. Apart from this, both the smartphones come with quad rear camera setup at the back with a similar camera housing. Also, the duo feature a centrally placed punch hole for front camera setup.
For starters, both the smartphones come with AMOLED display panels with 120Hz refresh rate. In terms of size, the Galaxy A53 5G sports a 6.5-inch FHD+ display, while the Galaxy A73 5G boasts of a slightly bigger 6.7-inch FHD+ screen.
Chipset, RAM and storage
Samsung has equipped the Galaxy A53GB with its own Exynos 1280SoC. It’s built on a 5nm architecture and features a total of eight cores 2×2.4 GHz Cortex-A78 & 6×2.0 GHz Cortex-A55).
The Galaxy A73 5G, on the other hand, is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G chip. It’s a 6nm architecture and features an octa-core setup of 4×2.4 GHz Kryo 670 & 4×1.8 GHz Kryo 670.
Both the smartphones come with 8GB RAM variant, the Galaxy A53 5G is also available in 6GB RAM capacity. In terms of storage, the Galaxy A53 comes with 128GB and the Galaxy A73 is available with up to 256GB storage.
Both Galaxy A53 and Galaxy A73 are equipped with quad rear camera setup. But, the Galaxy A73 features a 108MP primary sensor and the Galaxy A53 is equipped with a 64MP primary shooter.
As far as the other three sensors are concerned, both come with a similar setup of 12MP ultra wide, 5MP macro and a 5MP depth sensor.
Samsung has launched both smartphones with One UI 4 customer user interface based on Android 12 operating system.
Both the handsets are backed by a 5000mAh battery with 25W fast charging support.
